Installations and Happenings (Student exhibition, Sandbox Studio)

May 14 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Over the past 10 weeks, students enrolled in our new Sandbox studio, Installations and Happenings, have worked hard to learn, design and implement a placemaking response to activate and revitalise public spaces. From street art, pop-up interventions to street performances, each student has crafted their own initiative to activate a scape within the University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus. The interventions respond to the socio-ecological system of the site in an artistic representation of past and present culture.

You do not need to Register, just come join us on the Main Lawn of The Living Pavilion festival, a temporary placemaking project co-produced by  Thrive Research Hub (Melbourne School of Design), Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub (CAUL) of the National Environmental Science Program and The New Student Precinct. There are more than 60 events of various topics occurring as part of this festival. If you would like to know more, please make sure to visit the TLP website or take a look at all their events through TLP-Eventbrite.

Come Join us at this event and check out what our students have created. The day will be jam-packed with activities and you can make a day out of it and check out other events by Place Agency and The Living Pavilion.
